SV24-1500PS Solar Inverter: Installation Notes for 12V and 24V Backup Systems

Installation and selection notes for the SV24-1500PS 1500W solar inverter with integrated charging for 12V and 24V battery systems.

The SV24-1500PS combines a 1500 W sine wave inverter with integrated solar charging for 12 V and 24 V battery systems. This all-in-one format can simplify compact off-grid and backup packages, but the PV array, battery, AC load and protection devices still need to be matched as one complete system.

What the integrated design provides

The product is listed with 1500 W AC output, up to 60 A solar charging, automatic identification of 12 V or 24 V batteries, a digital operating display and dual cooling fans. It also provides a 220 V AC output and a 5 V/2.4 A USB output. The integrated layout reduces the number of separate front-panel devices in a small system, while still requiring careful cable and ventilation planning.

Check PV voltage for the selected battery system

The listed maximum PV open-circuit voltage is 50 V. The catalog guidance gives a 15 V-23 V panel operating range for 12 V charging and a 30 V-46 V range for 24 V charging. These values should be checked against the actual array, cold-weather voltage rise and allowable PV power before wiring. Do not use the nominal panel label alone to confirm compatibility.

Load matching and installation sequence

  • Confirm the battery chemistry and charging settings for the supplied 12 V or 24 V version.
  • Check the continuous AC load and starting demand before using the 1500 W rating for pumps, compressors or tools.
  • Size the battery cables, fuse or breaker and connectors for the expected DC current.
  • Connect the battery first and follow the supplied installation instructions before connecting the PV array.
  • Keep the dual-fan ventilation area clear and allow space for heat dissipation.

The listed full-load efficiency is above 82%, so battery capacity and runtime should be estimated with conversion losses included. The sine wave output can support a wider range of equipment than modified sine wave output, but the complete load and starting requirements must still be checked.

Information to include in a wholesale enquiry

For a quotation, send the battery voltage and chemistry, PV module data, expected AC load, quantity and destination market. Ask Gerixi to confirm the exact supplied configuration, PV power limits, documentation, branding or packaging options, minimum order quantity, lead time and warranty terms.
