SY-A PWM solar controller model and current overview

When a distributor or installer is selecting a PWM solar charge controller for several battery system sizes, a series with multiple current options can simplify purchasing and replacement planning. The SY-A series includes SY4860A, SY4880A, and SY48100A models for 12 V, 24 V, 36 V, and 48 V battery systems.

Choosing between 60A, 80A, and 100A

The three models share the same series direction but serve different charging-current requirements. SY4860A is rated at 60 A, SY4880A at 80 A, and SY48100A at 100 A. The correct model should be selected after checking the battery bank, the PV array, the battery manufacturer’s charging limit, and the expected DC load.

SY-A series specifications

Model Rated charging current Battery systems
SY4860A 60 A 12 V / 24 V / 36 V / 48 V
SY4880A 80 A 12 V / 24 V / 36 V / 48 V
SY48100A 100 A 12 V / 24 V / 36 V / 48 V

The series is a PWM controller. Its listed maximum PV open-circuit voltage is 100 V, and the enclosure is approximately 183 x 196 x 70 mm. The PV array must still be checked against the model instructions, including cold-weather open-circuit voltage and the charging requirements of the selected battery.

Battery and load-control functions

SY-A information lists support for lead-acid, LiFePO4, and lithium-ion batteries. The controller also includes a 5 V/2 A USB output, light and timer control, and manual load switching. These functions can be useful for off-grid lighting, small DC loads, and backup battery packages, but the final settings should match the exact battery chemistry and installation requirements.

Protection and installation planning

The series information lists MOSFET over-temperature protection that activates above 85°C. Installers should still provide suitable cable sizing, fusing, ventilation, and protection devices. The recommended connection sequence is battery first, then PV, and then the DC load. Confirm the wiring and protection arrangement with the supplied installation instructions before commissioning.

For importers and wholesale buyers

When requesting a quotation, specify the selected model, battery voltage, PV configuration, quantity, destination market, and required packaging or label. GERIXI can confirm the exact configuration, MOQ, quotation, lead time, warranty terms, available technical documents, and branding options for the order.
